Spring-Things® is designed to help reduce squeaking, chirping, creaking, popping, tapping, banging, and clunking caused by movement or contact between the individual leaves in a truck’s rear leaf spring pack.

These noises may occur as the suspension compresses and rebounds over bumps, uneven driveways, or changing loads. They may also appear during acceleration or braking as the spring pack shifts.

Spring-Things pads create a durable barrier at the spring contact points to help reduce the movement responsible for the noise.

Many customers report that the targeted squeak, chirp, pop, or clunk disappears completely. Others experience a significant reduction.

Results depend on whether the noise was diagnosed correctly, the condition of the spring pack, pad placement, installation, and whether another suspension or drivetrain component is also producing noise.

Spring-Things will not repair or eliminate noises caused by:

• Axle-shaft endplay or differential movement
• Drivetrain backlash
• Worn spring-eye or shackle bushings
• Loose U-bolts or suspension hardware
• Broken, bent, or shifted spring leaves
• Shackle binding
• Worn shocks or shock bushings
• Exhaust, spare-tire, hitch, tool, or cargo movement
• Suspension systems that do not use rear leaf springs

Listen while the truck slowly crosses an uneven driveway or small bump. Watch the spring pack for movement and inspect the contact points for polished metal, rubbing marks, worn factory pads, or visible shifting.

A noise that occurs as the suspension compresses and rebounds is more likely to involve the spring pack than a metallic clunk produced while rocking a parked truck side to side without much suspension movement.

Spring-Things universal kits are designed for many trucks with traditional rear leaf springs measuring approximately 2.5 inches wide.

Spring width is an important measurement, but compatibility also depends on the spring-pack layout and whether there is a suitable contact point where the pads can be installed.

Always inspect and measure your springs before ordering. You may also send us clear photos of the spring pack for help checking compatibility.

Model name and year do not guarantee fitment. Spring packs may vary by payload package, drivetrain, cab, bed length, trim, towing package, and suspension modifications.

Only if the truck is actually equipped with a compatible rear leaf spring pack. Many newer Ram 1500 and Ram 2500 trucks use rear coil or air suspension and cannot use Spring-Things.

Inspect the rear suspension before ordering rather than relying on the model name alone.

Possibly. The kit may fit when the truck retains compatible rear leaf springs and suitable installation points.

Aftermarket springs, add-a-leaf kits, overload springs, lift blocks, lowered suspensions, specialty spring packs, and other modifications can change the spring layout. Measure and inspect the actual truck before ordering.

One standard kit contains four Spring-Things pads and the hardware needed for a typical installation on both sides of one truck.

Some unusual, custom, or specialty spring packs may require a different approach, so inspect the spring layout before installation.

Yes. Spring-Things is designed for straightforward installation without removing the complete spring pack, drilling, welding, or changing suspension geometry.

You should still be comfortable lifting and supporting a truck safely. Anyone who is unsure about working around a raised vehicle should have the kit installed by a qualified person.

• A floor jack rated for the vehicle
• Properly rated jack stands
• Wheel chocks
• A flathead screwdriver or small pry bar, if needed
• Basic hand tools
• Work gloves and eye protection

Always work on a firm, level surface. Never work beneath or around a raised vehicle supported only by a hydraulic jack.

Many installations take approximately 15–30 minutes. Actual time depends on the truck, spring condition, available working space, spring-pack layout, and installer experience.

Most installations do not require wheel removal or removal of the complete leaf spring assembly. The truck is raised and safely supported so the suspension can unload enough to position the pads between the appropriate spring leaves.

The zip ties should be snug, not overtightened. They should hold each pad in position while still allowing slight movement as the suspension flexes.

Pulling the ties as tight as possible can place unnecessary stress on them.

Spring-Things is designed to isolate contact between the spring leaves without changing the spring rate, suspension geometry, factory payload rating, or towing rating.

The kit does not increase the truck’s towing or payload capacity. Always follow the vehicle manufacturer’s ratings and loading instructions.

Spring-Things is not designed to raise, lower, stiffen, or soften the suspension. Its purpose is to isolate specific spring contact points associated with unwanted noise.

Spring-Things does not require drilling, welding, cutting, or permanently modifying factory suspension components.

Spring-Things pads are made from durable material intended for automotive use. Service life varies based on installation, spring condition, vehicle weight, driving environment, climate, road debris, towing, hauling, and off-road use.

Some customers report years of service, while severe operating conditions or an unusual spring pack may shorten product life. Because every truck and use case is different, an exact lifespan cannot be guaranteed.

The pads are designed for use beneath a vehicle and for exposure to normal weather and road conditions. Service life can still vary with climate, mud, road salt, debris, spring condition, installation, and vehicle use.
